Kirkpatrick MacMillan - Inventor of the Pedal Bike
Kirkpatrick MacMillan was a Scottish blacksmith who lived from 1812-1878 and is credited with inventing the pedal bicycle. He was out watching people riding bikes, which at that time (1839) were driven by kicking the ground with your feet.
